FXOpen starts a Korean Dota 2 team! Lends credence to possibility of GOMTV Korean Dota 2 League
FXOpen, in partnership with the e-Sports Federation is proud to
19 December 2019With an already highly active team in Starcraft and an up and coming amateur league of legends team, FXOpen has chosen to move into DOTA 2 as it is quickly rising in the e-Sports scene. After winning Starcraft 2 2012 Hot 6ix GSTL Seasons 2 and 3 back to back, FXOpen prepares to use their newly formed team in the upcoming DOTA 2 to become a top contender in e-Sports. DOTA 2 is currently being prepared for launch in Korea by Nexon and is already causing a boom in China, South east Asia, North America and Europe.
DOTA 2 is produced by valve and is a sequel to the Warcraft 3 custom map DOTA Allstars. Icefrog, the developer of DOTA allstars, was involved in development and with a one million dollar prize pool tournament being held annually, DOTA 2 is securing its position in the e-Sports scene.FXOpen DOTA2 team consists of ‘March’ Park, Tae won, ‘Devilelf’ Kim, Jeong Ki, ‘Sagun’ Lee, Kyung Min, ‘Bangfish’ Kim, Byung Cheon and with ‘Hell’ Kwon, Jae Hwan acting as playing coach, it is a a team of five. Out of these players, Devilelf was a national representative at WCG 2012 DOTA2 while March was a national representative in WCG 2009 DOTA Allstars.
FXOpen Korea's head coach Hyoung Seop Lee said “our new DOTA2 members have held the title of national representative and are some of the best Korea has to offer” and “I am glad to be joined by top players who share the same vision as our organisation and look forward to competing in events both in korea and abroad”.
FXOpen’s DOTA2 team is set to participate in an upcoming Korean based league as its first step before looking to compete internationally. FXOpen has announced their expansion to Dota2 and the creation of a Dota2 team. The team members will include March, Sagun, Devilelf, Bangfish, and playing coach Kwon Jae Hwan. FXOpen coach Choya said "Our team's Dota2 players have held the title of national representatives, and are the best in Korea." FXOpen plays to participate in future Dota2 leagues, and add additional Korean players who are active abroad.
